DN50 Promag H 300 Added to Stock for Batching and Main Transfer

October 2026 — Order code 5H3B50-AAIBAEAFBAFDCS0BA2, the DN50 (2 inch) version of the Endress+Hauser Proline Promag H 300, is now held in stock. Two-inch lines carry the volume that decides yield: one blending batch, one tanker load, one shift of filling. Instruments on that duty are judged less on catalogue accuracy than on whether batch two repeats batch one at the end of a cleaning cycle.

The DN50 sensor is a direct replacement for mechanical and turbine meters without changing the pipe run, because the measuring tube is full bore and adds no constriction. Pumping cost stays where it was, and there is no rotor or shaft seal to wear or to harbour product.

Batching performance

• Volume totaliser inside the transmitter, so the batch can be cut on the meter rather than on a separate controller
• Standard error of ±0.5 % o.r. ±1 mm/s, tightened to ±0.2 % o.r. ±2 mm/s with the high-accuracy option
• Stable zero point after CIP and SIP, which is what keeps consecutive batches inside tolerance
• Heartbeat Technology verification without removing the sensor from the line

Signals into the control system

The compact transmitter offers up to three configurable I/Os: a 4-20 mA HART output for the primary flow value, a pulse or frequency output for totaliser handover to a batch controller, and a status output for empty pipe, limit or alarm signalling. Diagnostics are available over HART to the PLC or asset management system, which often removes an external signal converter from the cabinet.

Notes for retrofit projects

Existing 5H3B50 installations can stay in place; this order code is a separate configuration, not a replacement part number, so the option string should be checked against the installed unit before a second one is ordered. Where the pipe sits behind cladding, a remote display variant keeps the reading visible without cutting an inspection hatch. Grounding rings and seals for plastic or lined pipe can be supplied on the same order.
